Fauziya Fliege launches “Behind the Mask” collection

Mozambican artist Fauziya Fliege has just created a new line in her visual production. The collection, "Behind the Mask: Emotions and Expressions," uses acrylic technique to trace a woman's journey through pregnancy.

Fliege seeks, for the first time, to highlight an aspect that is rarely mentioned in the visual arts, but is fundamental: the beauty and complexity of the gestational experience. 

"We are all born of a woman, and so this collection deserves my full attention with every brushstroke. Every detail of each piece is a different story, a fragment of the experience I share as a mother of three children. I can say that each pregnancy has been a unique experience, full of nuances," the artist highlights, quoted in a press release.
